He said that Kobe would text him something and that it was hard not to call him every day, even though he had his number. The Game also said that Bryant was like a brother to him. In the “All The Smoke” podcast, The Game revealed that whenever he met Kobe, Bryant would tell him how much the album “Documentary” meant to him. But he said that the Lakers legend liked the “Doctor’s Advocate” more than the “Documentary”.

The Game said, “He was just like, ‘Yo’, like, ‘One blood’ like, ‘I work out every day, every morning I’m up, I throw this song’. And every time that I came to Staples Center to see Kobe like he if he saw me, I don’t know, I ain’t never seen the n***a with a phone in his shorts, but the music starting running…”

“The Documentary” was the Game’s debut album. It was released on January 18, 2005. The “Doctor’s Advocate” was the second album by The Game. It was released on November 14, 2006.
He also thanked Bryant for never leaving the city of Los Angeles. The rapper was amazed by how Kobe scored 60 points in his last ever game for the Lakers before retiring. He admitted that he might not be able to control his tears underneath the glasses if they continue to talk about Bryant.

The Game also said that he never thought that Kobe Bryant would have an untimely demise. He said that he remembered the day so well and said that it was very foggy on that day. Because of all the fog, he had to refrain from taking the freeway, since he couldn’t see anything.
He then said that when he woke up, he received all these messages about Kobe, but he never thought it was about his death. He also said that when he heard Kobe’s wife or daughter could’ve been with him during the crash, it was hard to digest as a father. And that he started putting himself in Kobe’s position.
