“He Wrote a Letter to Himself”: Wife Savannah Once Revealed How She Motivated LeBron James to Celebrate Historic Milestone

In the NBA, LeBron James has always been a star in the spotlight, from the time he first stepped on the court to now when he’s among the best in the business. But it was also having a woman in his life who always had his back at every point that enabled him to achieve this success. 

Going back to when he was in St. Vincent-St. Mary High School, where he played for his team in Akron, Ohio, he first met his wife.

In spite of all the fame and attention he was already receiving at the time, he learned a valuable lesson from his wife that helped him grow as a person. As Savannah revealed once in an interview how she influenced James to reach an important milestone. She was asked what she had taught her husband and what he had taught her over the years during the course of an interview.

First, she explained what James has taught her. Mentioning that hard work and effort are the only things that can help us achieve anything. The two have been together all these years, sharing their good times and bad times equally. To achieve the success they have now, they have undoubtedly worked hard. 

Savannah James taught LeBron James a valuable lesson

In her explanation of what she has taught James, she stated that we should enjoy and embrace the present moment, along with his achievements and the progress he made. “I’ve maybe taught him to be in the moment. To step back and be proud of yourself for whatever it is that you’ve accomplished, and you know kind of just be in that moment.”

She further mentioned saying: “I feel like he’s such a workhorse and goes so hard for his profession, and his businesses, and his philanthropic efforts that sometimes he just doesn’t sit back and say, ‘You know what I did that and I’m proud of myself'”.

Additionally, she also mentioned what LeBron James did when he achieved an incredible scoring milestone in his NBA career. She said: “I saw him you know just score these 30,000 points, and I saw that he wrote a letter to himself. I feel like I may have had a little bit to do with that”.
