LeBron James is still going strong. The 37-year-old veteran will soon be entering his 20th season in the league. He recently became the only active billionaire in the NBA. However, the 18-time All-Star was seen doing something you won’t expect from a billionaire. The Los Angeles Lakers star watched his team in the Summer League in Las Vegas on Friday.

The Lakers battled the Phoenix Suns as Lakers stars James and Russell Westbrook were both present to cheer on their team. LeBron, who was dressed up appropriately for the occasion along with a $625,000 Audemars Piguet watch, was seen eating snacks from a ziplock bag. Instead of buying the expensive snack at the stadium, the ‘King’ preferred to bring his own snacks as watched on from the front row.

While the Los Angeles Lakers were defeated, they weren’t the main focus of the night. LeBron usually steals the spotlight wherever he goes and that was the case on Friday as well. Although, fans were quite surprised to see the billionaire eating snacks he apparently got packed from home.

James has always been humble and doesn’t like to show off his wealth often. While he has been seen wearing expensive clothes sometimes, he doesn’t forget his roots. Just because your net worth resembles the GDP of a small country doesn’t mean you’re willing to pay exorbitant prices for stadium snacks.

Had someone else done that, it probably won’t have been caught by eagle-eyed fans. But LeBron is one of the most recognizable faces on the planet, and anything he does is deemed to be judged.

LeBron James is a billionaire

While LeBron was seen snacking from a ziplock during the Lakers’ summer league game, his wealth continues to grow. The 4-time NBA champion recently joined the billionaire club due to his excellent business acumen. James has invested in various businesses, from soccer clubs to tequila brands.

Although LeBron’s Lakers are going through a rough phase, the ‘Kid from Akron’ is brilliantly building himself an empire. James has accrued over $900 million in endorsements and various business ventures.
