Michael Jordan had an incredible career, in which he won six championships. He is famous for winning two three-peats with the Chicago Bulls in the 90s. However, between the two three-peats, he took a break from basketball to try his luck in baseball. He signed a minor league contract with the Chicago White Sox in 1994. Jordan went on to play in the Arizona Fall League batting .252 against some of the best players in the league. However, he came back to the NBA and won another three-peat with the Bulls. There is another game that Jordan loves the most apart from basketball. That’s golf.

There’s no doubt that Michael Jordan had a all-time great career in basketball. But he is also very good at golf, a game he has played for a long time. There are several golfing stories about Michael Jordan, and it turns out that the NBA legend is very good at it.
Jordan hasn’t played golf professionally, and it is not his primary sport. However, any opponent playing golf against Jordan has to be at their best when facing him. It is his passion and determination for the game that makes him a tough rival. But one on occasion, Jordan talked about losing during a game of golf and he looked serious.
Michael Jordan talked about loss and death in the same breath while playing golf
MJ once appeared for an interview with Ahmad Rashad years ago. Rashad is a sportscaster and former NFL player. During his interview with Rashad, a clip of MJ playing golf was shown.
In the video, Jordan is playing golf and later goes on to say, “I’m losing and now I’m dying.”

“You gotta get the h*ll outta here so maybe we could play some golf!” he subsequently yelled at the filming crew.
If it wasn’t clear by now, Michael Jordan doesn’t like losing. It is his competitive drive that made him an NBA legend. He is a competitor. In fact, losing and dying are almost synonymous to the six-time NBA champion. Such is the intensity of his competitive spirit.
5-time PGA Tour winner Rickie Fowler says playing with Jordan is beneficial
Jordan has played against some of the top golfers in the world. He frequently plays against five-time PGA Tour winner Rickie Fowler. Fowler once admitted that it is beneficial to play golf against Jordan.

“I think it’s very beneficial for me,” Fowler told Kevin Clark of ‘Slow News Day’.
“One, you’re playing against MJ, one of the most clutch guys there is. He’s good, especially when you get him around the greens and putting. He’ll putt anyone straight up.”

It seems that everyone, including Fowler, has to bring their best game while playing golf against Jordan. Moreover, Jordan has also admitted that golf is the hardest game to play, and he loves to play because of the competitive challenge.
