“It’s Over for the League”: NBA World Wants Kyrie Irving ‘Drug Tested’ After Pulling off Unthinkable Move

The Brooklyn Nets (25-12) obliterated the San Antonio Spurs (12-25) on Monday night at the Barclays Center. The Nets came in full force as they finished the game with 139-103. The team led by Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving has been unstoppable in recent games and has established a name as the second seed of the Eastern Conference. One of the highlights from the game was definitely in the second quarter when Kyrie Irving stunned both his team and the crowd.

Kyrie scored 27 points and 8 rebounds. He gave the crowd a memorable dunk as well. The NBA Twitter proclaimed, “It’s over for the league“.

What did Kyrie Irving do?

The energy was palpable in the second quarter with the Nets already in the lead by 20 points. Yuta Watanabe tried to shoot the ball, but it bounced back. Cue Kyrie Irving. Kyrie charged, took the ball without missing a beat, and threw it down into the basket.

The crowd erupted with joy. Watanabe was in awe. Even a belated Kevin Durant came into the court to laud the player. The NBA world online was also bowled over by his insane dunk. One fan even wrote, “Drug test incoming“.

Kyrie Irving has been superb ever since his shroud of controversies. He has been averaging 25.3 points per game. He spoke to the media, “Let’s just go win ballgames, that’s really what the attitude is. No more excuses, no more distractions“.

The Nets turn over a new leaf

In an episode of the ‘Brian Windhorst & The Hoop Collective’ podcast, NBA analyst Tim Bontemps credited the current head coach Jacque Vaughn. Bontemps believed that Vaughn was the reason that the team had been able to turn things around. He said, “… because this team does not resemble the team they were early on when they were flailing around getting blown out looking terrible“.

Brian Windhorst also added that Kyrie Irving, too, has also been influential in the Nets climbing the ladder in the NBA Table. He said, “I also think Kyrie is absolutely, without question purposely on his best behavior. And that really helps“.
