Dennis Rodman is one of the most eccentric personalities of all time. The five-time NBA champion has been involved in various stories, off the NBA court. However, he never let any of that affect his performances on the court. Although there is something he doesn’t advise anyone to do the night before a game.

During his playing days, Rodman was known to be a notorious figure. He once claimed that he had slept with more than 1000 women. His dating history certainly backs that claim. However, there is one thing that he didn’t like at all and he only did this twice in his NBA career.

While talking to boxing legend Mike Tyson on his podcast “Hotboxin“, Rodman revealed something that affected his game. He began by saying that everyone had done that some time or the other. Then he said, “I’ve done this twice in my life playing sports and I never knew that this s**t will f**k with you when you’re playing the game.”

Rodman then revealed what he was talking about. He said, “I’m trying to have s*x all night before the game. Doesn’t f****ng work out too well“. He went on to mention how that affected his game. His coach found out what the issue was and confronted Rodman after about seven minutes had gone by in the first quarter.

“Why don’t you take a night off? I know what you did last night. You got weak knees right?” advised Rodman’s coach. Tyson refuted his claim and said that sometimes people need to have s*x before a game, otherwise they are out of power.

While Rodman became a household name with the Detroit Pistons, his off-court career took off around 1993. The seven-time rebounding champion got divorced from his first wife in 1993. After that, Rodman dated one of the biggest singers of all time, Madonna. Rodman once claimed that she offered him $20 million to impregnate her.

A few years after his relationship with Madonna had ended, the Chicago Bulls forward dated actress Vivica A. Fox. Rodman eventually dated and married model/actress Carmen Electra. However, they divorced soon after.
