King James has his net worth in a billion, admirers in multi millions, and critics in plentiful. On social media, it is nothing new that haters of LeBron James call him LeFraud, LeBum, or LeFlop.

However, it gets a little too much when the hate becomes visible on the streets of a city. That is exactly what happened in Akron, the hometown of the Los Angeles Lakers’ leader. On Monday, a vandal decided to take his dislike for LeBron to another level by attempting to tarnish his image.

A show of disrespect on LeBron James and his hardwork with Space Jam

In Akron, the promoters of Space Jam 2 had used some traditional marketing methods to promote the movie. So they had a colorful mural of the film’s characters painted close to his alma mater, St. Vincent-St. Mary High School and the LeBron-owned I Promise School.

But on Monday, an unknown troublemaker decided to vandalize the mural as s/he sprayed paint over it and made a clown out of Bron. The vandal also wrote, “LA FLOP” to further send a message of clear hatred.

Who painted that mural and what was her reaction?

An artist named Chardae Slater painted the mural just a week prior to the HBO release of Space Jam 2. She dedicated a post to thank LeBron James on Instagram for trusting her with the artwork. But Chardae was heartbroken when she found out about the cowardly act.

She wrote on her latest Insta post, “Why would you even take time out of your day to go f— up what someone else did for the community?”

Well, a theory suggests this can be the result of the two times LeBron left the city of Cleveland to play for other franchises. Currently, the city police are looking into the matter, probably trying to get some CCTV footage to catch the culprit.

As far as Chardae goes, she spent nights working on the mural in June, first creating a rough draft on paper. She recently gave an interview to reveal how Bron’s mother visited the mural and liked her work.
