LeBron James Trashed “Selfish” Kobe Bryant During 2008 Olympics

Two of the greatest players to ever play in the NBA are LeBron James and Kobe Bryant. Apart from having won almost all titles as a player, the other thing the two have in common is the Los Angeles Lakers.

While Kobe played for the Lakers all his life, LeBron joined the Lakers in the latter stage of his career and led them to the 17th title. One of the biggest stories regarding the two came during the 2008 Olympics.

In the latest book revolving around the life of Mike Krzyzewski, the author reveals an interesting story. As mentioned by the author, LeBron was disappointed at the shot selection of Kobe.

LeBron James was not satisfied with Kobe’s play

LeBron and Kobe are regarded as two of the best players to ever exist in the NBA. While they may have not played together in the NBA, the two shared the locker room during their time in the US National Team.

In an interesting story coming out of the United States Olympics team, LeBron reportedly had a fallout with Kobe. The reason being? Kobe Bryant’s selfish shot selection.

In a match against Australia, Bryant took a few loose shots during the match. Despite winning the match, the team looked shaky and eyebrows turned towards Kobe.

LeBron James was not happy about this. A US team staffer revealed details regarding the conversation between LeBron and the coach. As mentioned by him, “LeBron was coming out of the game, he said to Mike, ‘Yo, Coach, you’d better fix that motherf—–,’ as he walks by. He was talking about Kobe.”

Kobe as humble as he was, sat with the Coach and talked about his problems. Despite all their face-offs on the court, The Mamba and ‘Bron were known to be good friends.

LeBron and Kobe Bryant’s relationship

LeBron and Kobe have had many memorable moments in the NBA. Although the two were rivals on the court, both of them seemed to have a great relationship off of it. As mentioned by Kobe Bryant himself, “We’ve been close. We talk more than people know.”

The two have faced off against each other on 22 occasions and all of them have come in the regular season. LeBron holds the upper hand with 16 wins over Kobe.
