Scholastic Play-by-Play classics, responsible for hosting one of High School Basketball’s biggest tournaments, recently joined the list of companies that terminated their relationship with the millionaire rapper. Enraged fans took to social media to advocate justice for the innocent players.

The former billionaire, in a span of 30 days, lost a large chunk of his net worth and partnerships with Multinational brands. Addidas, GAP, Balenciaga, Footlocker, JP Morgan Chase, and others terminated their relationship with Ye. Unfortunately, some of the victims of his comments were his private school ‘Donda Academy.’

Kanye West’s comments put future NBA prospects in a realm of uncertainty

Rapper, and fashion icon, Kanye West founded his own private school called ‘Donda Academy’ by honoring his late mother, Prof. Donda West. The Academy’s basketball team had been a successful program so far. The team got the chance to play at high-school basketball’s biggest stage. But after Ye’s recent comments, the Host for the tournament has cut ties with the academy.

The company, Scholastic Play-by-play classics, scrapped off the games of Donda HS team from their tournament schedule. The company remarked that West’s recent actions forced them to take the step,“Unfortunately, we cannot in good conscience host an organization founded and directed by Mr. West at our events.”

Though the company disapproved of Ye’s actions and academy, they showed empathy for the players of the Donda team. “While we are firm in our reasoning for this decision, it does not diminish our heartache and regret for Donda’s hardworking athletes who will lose out the most as a result of Kanye’s actions,” remarked the organization. The Donda HS team will miss the entire upcoming tournament.
