After Madrid won the game, he posed for pictures alongside them and, on Instagram, congratulated them for winning club football’s biggest prize. The picture that created the most talk among fans was the one he took with forward Eden Hazard.

To most fans, it was on “Are they the same species” territory. To put it in context, Hazard is around 5’8-5’9, which is average by most human standards, but Gobert is more than seven feet tall. The height difference between him and Eden Hazard was striking. However, what caught the eye of the fans was the outfit Gobert was wearing. They immediately took to Twitter and started bashing him. Liverpool might feel a bit frustrated with the match. They still had the lion’s share of chances, with many of them being saved by goalkeeper Courtois, who had an all-time great performance. He saved near-goal chances by Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane. The expected goal of those chances were 2.14, hence it shows how important Courtois was for their win.
