Michael Jordan has shared the court with many legendary stars in the NBA. But once, MJ teamed up with the NBA stars Chris Paul and Kyrie Irving only to support Ex-POTUS Barack Obama’s noble cause in 2012. Obama’s love for basketball is not a secret. He has expressed his admiration for Michael Jordan and the Chicago Bulls several times. Back in 2012, Jordan came to support Obama’s re-election campaign as he co-hosted a $3 million fundraiser.
The re-election fundraiser was named the ‘Obama Classic’. The event featured NBA stars like Carmelo Anthony, Chris Paul, Kyrie Irving, and Paul Pierce among others for a ‘shoot around’. Moreover, Obama was also expected to join the NBA stars during the hopping contest. The fundraiser had some other activities, including a skills camp, costing $5000 for two tickets, and an autograph session with players for $250.
