Drake’s performance at the 2017 NBA Awards had plenty of jokes to entertain the audience. But the main climax of the performance came out with a pre-recorded skit of Drake as Stephen Curry, parodying the Curry household. Drake played the role of Stephen Curry, along with Kylie Bunbury, who played the role of Ayesha Curry. In the skit, Drake mocked Steph in a funny way.

However, this didn’t affect the superstar at all. He congratulated Drake when his team, the Toronto Raptors, won the NBA Finals against the Golden State Warriors in 2019.

Drake’s video presented a Get Out-inspired parody of the Curry Household to the fans. It started with Draymond Green, played by an actor, inviting Steph to a championship celebration after their championship win in 2017. He tried to convince Stephen Curry to come along and celebrate with them until ‘Ayesha Curry’ showed up. Steph wanted to buy a Bugatti and drive to the party. But Ayesha Curry’s ‘hypnosis’, a parody of the famous thriller Get Out, abandoned all his plans.

The fans reacted to the parody in a positive manner. But Drake wanted a review from Steph’s known one and went on to ask Draymond Green in real. He found Green to be a fan of the parody as well.

Fans didn’t know how Stephen Curry reacted to the parody himself. But it got clear after the NBA Finals of 2019, that Steph wasn’t holding any grudges. Golden State Warriors lost the championship to Toronto Raptors that year. Subsequently, Stephen Curry congratulated Drake on a phone call after he lost the series.
