NFL legend and eminent media personality Shannon Sharpe is one of the most vocal analysts in the world of sports. Unlike his co-host Skip Bayless, Sharpe is a huge LeBron James fan and shares a good relationship with the four-time NBA champion. Recently, eminent actor and comedian Michael Rapaport joined Sharpe and Bayless at Undisputed and gave his predictions for the ongoing 2022-23 NBA playoffs.

Rapaport is rooting for the New York Knicks to beat the Cleveland Cavaliers and while he was giving his predictions, Sharpe interrupted him and revealed his alleged LeBron agenda.

There is no denying that LeBron James probably has more haters than fans. Shannon Sharpe is one of LeBron’s biggest fans and he defends the NBA superstar ruthlessly when he is targeted. During a segment on Undisputed, actor Michael Rapaport joined the crew to talk about the playoffs. Rapaport is not the biggest fan of James and the Los Angeles Lakers.

Sharpe said, “Whatever, tell the truth why you lost your voice. You can’t even enjoy the Knicks because you root so hard against LeBron James and the Lakers. You was hoping that Minnesota knocked them out. That’s how you lost your voice.”

Following Sharpe’s harsh criticism, Rapaport claimed that he is happy for James and the Lakers. Moreover, it seems he is rooting for the Lake Show to beat the Memphis Grizzlies and advance to the next round of the playoffs. Rapaport labeled the Grizzlies as ‘the least likable team’ in the NBA currently.

Bayless pointed out that the Grizzlies are so ‘villainous’ that they made Rapaport actually support LeBron James! Understandably, Sharpe saw Rapaport’s support of LeBron as a tad hypocritical and called him out to ensure his good friend James gets the credit he deserves. James is also reciprocative of Sharpe’s support, and backed him up when the Grizzlies had an altercation with Sharpe and the Lakers during a game.

LeBron ‘returned the favor’ to Sharpe a few months ago

The January 21st matchup between the Los Angeles Lakers and Memphis Grizzlies was the definition of chaos. The Lakers ended the Grizzlies’ 11-game unbeaten streak with Shannon Sharpe in attendance. After some back and forth with Dillon Brooks, Sharpe got into a heated altercation with Ja Morant and his father. Following this incident, Sharpe faced a lot of flak.

This is when LeBron James came to his rescue. He said, “I ride with Shannon 365 days — 366 on a leap year — 24/7. So that’s my guy. I always got his back. And he’s got mine.”

LeBron and the Lakers now take on the Grizzlies on the 16th of April and it is expected to be a heated affair again, as some of their meetings over the past few seasons have been.
