The Los Angeles Lakers have had a mixed regular season so far. With players like LeBron James and Anthony Davis missing time through injuries, the lake show slipped all the way down to seventh.

With two games remaining in their regular season schedule, the Lakers knew every game is a must-win for them to even have a chance at avoiding the play-in tournament. A win against the Pacers would have also resulted in the champions tieing the Blazers for the record of 41 wins and 30 losses.

One of the biggest storylines in the Lakers’ game against the Pacers was the return of key starters to the lineup. Starting guard Dennis Schroder finally made his return to the lineup after following the league’s medical protocols, while Anthony Davis returned to the starting five after suffering from an apparent groin injury against the Knicks.

But probably the biggest news of them all was the return of Superstar LeBron James. James, who had earlier suffered from a high ankle sprain, had returned for a couple of games but didn’t look anywhere near his usual self.

There were multiple concerns from fans, wondering whether King James could gain full fitness ahead of a busy post season. But against the Pacers, the King put all those doubts to bed. Despite playing only 28 minutes on the court, LBJ put on a vintage performance, scoring 24 points along with 8 assists and 7 rebounds.

This performance had it all. From thunderous dunks, to three pointers, to dimes, LBJ finally looked like the LeBron James we have seen for the past 18 years. The King also took control of the game in a crucial stretch. With the Lakers only three points up in the fourth quarter, LBJ put up seven straight points for the champions to close out the game.

While Bron put on a great show, AD didn’t stay far behind. The Brow lead the Lakers offense as he scored a total of 28 points with 10 boards and 5 assists. With the dynamic duo of AD and Bron looking in much better shape, the league will surely take notice of what they might be in for if they face the defending champions.

Twitter goes Berserk after Lakers’ dominant win

Given the performance LBJ and AD put up against Indy, Twitter community went absolutely crazy with the Lakers’ fourth win a row.
