Since 1989, TNT’s ‘Inside the NBA’ has provided game updates and analysis. However, thanks to the iconic hosts of the show, it has become one of the most popular sports analysis shows in recent years. Ernie Johnson, Kenny Smith, Charles Barkley, and Shaquille O’Neal are a treat to watch on the panel. Aside from the sports talks, the world enjoys the chemistry of the group and how they like to roast each other regularly. During the latest segment of the broadcast, a similar back-and-forth took place between the usual suspects, Shaquille O’Neal and Charles Barkley.
The panel discussed a variety of scenarios in the most recent episode, from roasting Charles Barkley for his poor predictions and mispronouncing ‘Qatar’ to Shaq crashing into the Christmas tree. Ernie Johnson began the broadcast by asking Barkley to predict who will win, the team of J.T. Poston and Jordan Spieth against Rory Mcllroy and Tiger Woods. In response, Barkley yelled out his famous ‘guarantee’ for a J.T. and Jordan win.

The panel also roasted Barkley for guaranteeing the United States men’s national soccer team’s win against the Netherlands in the 2022 FIFA World Cup. This ‘Guarantee’ didn’t work out well for Chuck as well as the USMNT lost the game 1-3 and the Dutch side roasted Barkley on social media. Furthermore, when discussing the FIFA World Cup in Qatar, Barkley mispronounced it as “Cutter.” However, instead of admitting his mistake, he doubled down on the validity of his pronunciation, pointing out that he had actually been to the country.
Other panelists retaliated by pointing out that Shaq had recently returned from an F1 Abu Dhabi trip. However, Barkley indicated that Shaq was frugal on his vacation and didn’t socialize with the people there. After Barkley shaded Shaq by saying he flew in ‘coach’ to Qatar, the Big Diesel clapped back at him, saying that he was flying coach on “Shaq Airlines.” The conversation ended with the entire panel hyping up Shaq to hit the Christmas tree on the set.
Shaquille O’Neal almost crashed into the Christmas tree again
The history of Shaquille O’Neal crashing into the Christmas tree on the ‘NBA on TNT’ set is nothing new to the world. Throughout the years, one way or another Shaq finds himself crashing into the Christmas tree.
