Earlier in the week, billionaire Elon Musk posted a poll on Twitter. The poll asked users their opinion on whether Musk should continue as the CEO of Twitter or step down. He promised to “abide by the results” of the poll. Over the day, over 17 million people voted, with 57.5% of the votes urging the billionaire to resign. Following this, Musk went radio silent for about a day and then tweeted, “I will resign as CEO as soon as I find someone foolish enough to take the job”! As this chaos was debated online, NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal addressed the news on ‘The Big Podcast with Shaq’.

Unsure about the developments in the Twitter story, Shaq asked his podcast co-hosts Nischelle Turner and Spice Adams about the situation. The two clarified that Elon Musk hadn’t stepped down as the CEO of Twitter yet. Adams continued to state that Musk wasn’t following the rules, “his own rules”. Following this, Turner had a question for Shaq. She asked him if he’d take over from Elon Musk and become the CEO of the social media platform.

Over the years, the Los Angeles Lakers legend has built a business empire around him. His various ventures have been hugely successful and now, he has a net worth of around $600 million. So for the four-time NBA champion to be the CEO of Twitter might be something he may be interested in. However, Shaq has other things on his mind.

When Turned asked Shaq the question, he responded in four words. He said, “No, I would not”. Turner questioned why he wouldn’t do so. To this Shaq said, “We live in a world where it’s too many indecisive, opinionated, wrongly opinionated, and narcissistical earthlings” and he wants none of this.

The three-time Finals MVP added that he was tired of the current culture seen online. A culture that focuses on making a beef between two people a public affair. Shaq stated that the issues between people are none of his business. He then encouraged people to handle stuff privately.

While talking about this, he added, “I live in my little world where, ‘How you doing man, how you doing Sir?’ I don’t judge you, you don’t judge me”. Hence, he refused to entertain the idea of taking over as CEO of Twitter.
