Shaquille O’Neal slammed Draymond Green saying he would have ‘torn’ him up
In 2020, Draymond Green joined the All the Smoke podcast. He claimed that the Warriors would have destroyed Shaq in pick and roll. He said, “Shaq [was] my favorite player, growing up as a kid. I had Orlando Magic night lights and f***ing onesie pajamas and s*** like that. Shaq has always been one of my favorite players. But I’ve always watched the game as a student of the game. Me and Steph Curry would have f—ing destroyed Shaq in the pick and roll.”
Shaq obviously replied to Dray’s claim. “I try not to get personal with people’s opinions. But however, Mr. Draymond, like you said, I would’ve torn your a** up on that block.” He said on the Big Podcast with Shaq. This was in reference to the fact that Draymond agreed Shaq would have “murdered” him on the block.

Green is a top-quality player. Apart from everybody knowing that he is a top-notch player, he also has a reputation as a rough player. And that kind of reflected in his conversations off the court. Not that he disrespects anyone, but he has often feuded with former or current players by putting up his opinions that make the other person in question respond, to say the least.
However, things with Shaq did not escalate. The two greats of the game respect and appreciate one another. The exchange over the different podcasts ended there and then. Almost two years later, Shaq is rooting for Draymond and the Warriors.
