He admitted to being left in awe of Michael Jordan’s ‘The Last Dance’ which reflected a culture that his team follows to date.

Stephen Curry recently appeared on The Old Man and The Three podcast hosted by former NBA star J.J. Reddick. The former NBA player pointed out the challenges that the Warriors team faced after the altercation between Draymond Green and Jordan Poole just before the start of the 2022-23 season. Reddick asked Curry if a superstar driving the culture was the reason that the Dubs stay strong despite the unexpected challenges.

Steph Curry added, “It’s a little out of context but what Michael said about, MJ said in his documentary about not expecting anybody else to do something he wouldn’t necessarily do on the court and the work and all that like it’s an element of that.”

Steph stated that Michael Jordan mentioned in The Last Dance a valuable sentiment that he abides by. The true meaning of leadership is not to expect things from teammates that he would not do himself. It was an important factor in maintaining the team culture, as per Curry. The Dubs superstar also emphasized that this crucial mantra has served as a strong bond in the Warriors team culture.

Subsequently, Steph talked about recognizing the value of everyone in the locker room no matter what the narrative suggested. He tries to communicate with his teammates about the importance of their roles.
