Stephen Curry often uses his social media platforms to speak on issues and make his opinion known to his dedicated followers. The four-time NBA champion has even called out former POTUS Donald Trump on Twitter on numerous occasions. Back in March, Steph condemned popular actor Will Smith for slapping renowned comedian and actor Chris Rock at the 94th Academy Awards. However, Curry also compared an NCAA Women’s Tournament thriller with the incident.
Stephen Curry was backing the Stanford Cardinals during the elite eight encounter against the Texas Longhorns. Curry was supporting the Cardinals as his family are very close to Cameron Brink’s family. Steph’s mom Sonya Curry even sat with the Brink family at the Spokane Arena during the nail-biting game.

Eventually, The Cardinals closed the game with a 59-50 win over the Longhorns. The Golden State Warriors guard celebrated Stanford’s win in a rather strange manner.

Stephen Curry took to Twitter to express his excitement for the Cardinals, who made it to the final four. The 2022 Finals MVP wrote, “This was loud!!! Like that slap on that other channel.”

Curry compared the Cardinals’ win with the slapgate incident between Will Smith and Chris Rock during the Academy Awards in March in Los Angeles. While hosting the Oscars, Rock made a joke about Smith’s wife, Jada Pinkett-Smith. Smith was not happy about the joke and could not hold onto his anger. He walked up to the stage and punched Rock in the face in the middle of the event.

Stephen Curry condemned the slapping incident between Will Smith and Chris Rock. He was shocked by the whole thing and deemed the incident as ‘unnecessary drama’. Further, Curry also shared some wise words from actor Denzel Washington
