Stephen Curry’s Brother Seth, Who Had Violent Fights with Him, Once Revealed Feeling ‘Awkward’ Around the Warriors Icon: “You Were Walking on Egg Shells”

Stephen and Seth Curry have had different journeys to becoming top NBA athletes. While Stephen Curry has become one of the greatest generational players for the Warriors, Seth has emerged as a valuable role player for several teams. The two brothers indulged in violent fights when they played against each other as kids. In 2015, Seth Curry talked about an awkward phase in their lives when his brother Steph was going through a difficult two-year phase. 

Seth shared his experience of watching his brother Stephen Curry‘s journey to becoming an elite NBA legend during an interview in 2015. The 32-year-old used to play for D-League’s Erie BayHawks back then. Seth talked about how his brother managed to evolve each season as a player.

Further, the Brooklyn Nets shooting guard suggested that his brother had grown up to the level of his childhood heroes like Allen Iverson or Vince Carter, in terms of respect in the eyes of opposing fans.

Seth talks about a difficult time in Stephen Curry’s life

Seth Curry revealed that he felt awkward around the Golden State Warriors star for two years. Curry was quite injury-prone during the phase. The younger Curry often avoided going one-on-one against his brother due to the fear of hurting him.

Seth stated that the two-year phase was quite rough for everyone around Steph as those injuries bothered the four-time NBA champ a lot. He added“You were walking on eggshells working out with him.”

Seth was happy that those two years were finally over. He did not have an explanation as to how Steph did not have those ankle problems anymore. However, the Nets guard pointed out that his superstar worked through the summer with Under Armor to find the right shoe. The eight-time All-Star also started wearing ankle braces and worked really hard in rehab over the summer to get stronger.

Will Stephen Curry win again next season?

Back in 2015, Steph won his first NBA championship with the Warriors. However, the 2022 Finals MVP has come a long way since. The 34-year-old now has four championship rings, with the latest one coming last season. Curry would hope to win his fifth championship next season.
