Shaquille O’Neal and Serena Williams are an interesting duo in front of the camera. Both are elite athletes in their respective sports, but crossing lines to be in the other’s shoes was intriguing. Shaq decided to do that when he stepped onto a tennis court with the 23-time Grand Slam Champion. The 7-foot-tall NBA superstar looked different as he had his white shorts on, with a tennis racket in hand.

Back in 2009, Shaq decided to play a few rounds of tennis with Williams, engaging in a hilarious banter that is expected of the Big Diesel. The four-time NBA champion decided to make fun of the tennis legend’s habit of grunting while on the court.

When the two legends met on the tennis court on a sunny afternoon, the Los Angeles Lakers legend decided to poke Williams as he made hilarious grunting noises while hitting the ball, mimicking Williams’ habit. The tennis great decided to clap back as she asked the 7-foot giant to be stronger and move across the court. “I know how to play tennis, that’s what you don’t understand,” Shaq replied. Serena Williams hit back and said, “Okay cause I didn’t see it,” followed by the Big Aristotle trying to hilariously defend himself.

The 23-time Grand Slam champion then coached a few rounds to the Lakers great, only to laugh at the grunting noises that he made. Shaq tried to mock Williams but after a few minutes, Williams asked, “That felt good, huh?” and the 7-foot-giant agreed as he kept on playing. Serena Williams did the best that she could in teaching tennis to the then-37-year-old basketball veteran.
