After deliberating for weeks, the Lakers have finally got their next head coach, and Milwaukee Bucks assistant Darvin Ham has been chosen for the position. He is all set to take place of Frank Vogel, who was sacked after the lakers performed extremely poorly. Ham would receive a 4-year contract and this is the first time he is going to take the head coach position.

While everyone knew that Lakers have already started preparing for next season, no one knew that the decision would come this fast. Darvin would also be given independence to hire his own coaching staff and work as per what he feels is right.

While there were other rumors that LeBron had something else in mind, and preferred Doc Rivers to have the position. Lakers fans clearly did not share the same thought and believed that he would just add to being a liability to the team.

The fans’ reaction to Darvin Ham

Darvin Ham has had an impressive track record as an assistant coach and an NBA player. He had earlier held the assistant coach position for Lakers from 2011 to 13 and then from the Lakers he went to the Hawks and Bucks from 2013 to 22. Additionally, he won a championship with the Bucks last year.
