After the loss against the Cleveland Cavaliers, Luka Doncic and the Dallas Mavericks currently sit in 9th position on the Eastern Conference table with a 14-14 record. Moreover, to add fuel to the fire, the Mavericks announced that their power forward, Maxi Kleber, would be out for an indefinite period due to a right hamstring tear. This is a significant blow to the Mavericks roster which is arguably lacking in depth in the frontcourt. Besides that, this announcement also caught the attention of the fans as they reflected on this matter on social media.

Kleber is undoubtedly one of the crucial players for the Mavericks. With the help of his tall stature, the 30-year-old could easily shoot threes from almost any point of the court. Apart from that, he adds value down the court by being one of their best defenders. Therefore, with his absence in the near future, the Mavericks would probably face a challenge to fill his position.

Fans gave mixed opinions to the news. Most of them commented that the Mavericks were already struggling a bit this season. And on top of that, they now lose one of their best defenders. Many fans thought this would definitely affect them and minimize their chances of qualifying for the playoffs.
