Michael Jordan and his sports expertise is hardly limited to basketball. Naturally, the Bulls no. 23 understands what works better where, and hence, suggested some implementations. The Basketball world is plagued by extreme dependence on the NBA and MJ once highlighted some solutions to the existing problems. 

Young NBA stars are often motivated to join the NBA at an early age, sometimes at the cost of their own education.  MJ once suggested a measure where such young stars can be compensated while studying and can take their time to join the NBA. Michael Jordan once suggested that these things can be curbed if there is a compensation structure in minor leagues. Young kids wanting to earn and provide for their families is a natural feeling, according to MJ.

“You should allow a kid. If he feels like from a financial standpoint, did he want to go and work and earn and living” said MJ, during an interview years ago. He further added “I think there’s a certain way that you can go about between the NCAA as well as the NBA” The legend then gave the example of baseball, which can be implemented in basketball.

“Baseball I think has a very good plan where if you come out you get drafted starting from a minor league system where your skills determine the compensation,” said the Chicago Bulls legend.

Jordan’s main focus was the completion of education for kids for their proper mental and physical development. On the other hand, LeBron James has espoused different ideas for kids coming through to the league.

The King also feels that kids should go through at least one year of college, instead of being drafted straight from high school like him. However, James has not advocated for a compensatory program for kids like MJ. Incidentally, the Los Angeles Lakers superstar has expressed his desire to play in the league one day alongside his sons Bronny and Bryce James, who are rising through the ranks quickly.
