Joel Embiid has a lot on his plate. Embiid recently made history by scoring a staggering 59 points against the Utah Jazz. However, with recent news of the latest injury to James Harden haunting the team, Embiid must be worried. Particularly with his team falling to more injuries. The game between the Philadelphia 76ers and the Milwaukee Bucks further underlined the team’s problems.
76ers guard Tyrese Maxey suffered a left foot injury during the second quarter of the game. He dribbled the ball up to the rim, but his legs gave away that moment. The momentum left him limping for a stretch. His face showed much hurt and pain. A sign that is sure to worry Sixers fans and players alike.

Maxey was later ruled out of the game. Shake Milton substituted in for the star guard.
It is reported that Maxey would get an MRI during the weekend. Initial x-rays claim his foot was not as grave as people initially thought it was. However, the Philadelphia 76ers without James Harden and Tyrese Maxey on the court would be a difficult position to be stuck in.

James Harden too knew Maxey’s importance in the team. He knew that Tyrese Maxey had to run the offense and shoot the ball. He recently advised the young star to stay aggressive. Harden acknowledged that Maxey had struggled with scoring in the initial games and that he has to get used to this new role.

Harden was also confident that Maxey would show improvement one game at a time. James Harden, an efficient floor general, ensured the whole team was engaged. However, the absence of Harden could enable other players to come to the forefront. But what could be problematic is if those very players like Tyrese Maxey also get sidelined due to injury.
‘The Beard’ has been dealing with a tendon strain for about two weeks now. It was reported that he would not be able to play for at least a month. Harden confessed that he has been feeling good with the rehabilitation. He was also seen returning to the court for a practice shoot-around on Thursday, giving fans hope that he may be back soon.
