Los Angeles Lakers were snapped off of their four game winning streak with a loss at the hands of the Atlanta Hawks. Lakers were missing their talisman, LeBron James for the majority of the game.
The 36-year-old entered the game in some great form, averaging 28 points, 9.6 assists, and 10 rebounds per game for the last three games. LBJ was off to a great start to the game, scoring eight points in the first quarter.
Early in the second quarter, LeBron made contact with defender Solomon Hill and rolled his right ankle. This resulted in a nasty injury to James, who fell to the court and was screaming in anguish due to the same.

The Lakers understandably took a timeout, but ‘the King‘ initially shrugged off the injury and was back on the floor. James immediately hit an amazing three pointer from the corner, but ultimately decided to leave the floor shortly after that.

With LeBron out of the game, the Lakers had their hands full with the Hawks. They ultimately lost the game by four points with the final score of 99-94.
The Lakers will hope that the injury to Bron is not that bad as it looks right now. The Atlanta Hawks meanwhile have been in terrific form recently. With this win they are in a eight game winning streak. A win against the Lakers is probably the best start to a tough away run of fixtures against the Clippers and the Suns.
Kyle Kuzma reacts to LeBron James’ injury

Kyle Kuzma on LeBron’s injury: “I haven’t necessarily seen him scream and squall like that, probably ever, not even with that groin (injury in 2018). It had to hurt a little bit, for sure.”

The Lakers are already hit hard with injuries to Marc Gasol and superstar Anthony Davis. This latest injury to LeBron James is probably the worst thing that could happen to the team.
They were finally gaining some form without Davis and were in a four game winning streak. The Lakers will hope that LeBron’s injury isn’t that severe. If he does miss some games, we might see the Lakers slip down in the Conference standings.
