Widely touted as the No. 1 prospect in the 2023 NBA Draft, French prodigy Victor Wembanyama has remained under a constant spotlight. The NBA Draft is only about four months away and fans are eager to find out who lands the 7′ 4″ tall rising star. While his talent has put just about everyone in awe, Wembanyama’s incredible height has proved to have a similar effect as well. A recent photo of the Metropolitans 92 player with a particular Minnesota Timberwolves star has left fans bewildered yet again.

Fans have seen Wembanyama stand beside multiple NBA stars, who are by no means of average height. However, the contrast in their heights still manages to surprise fans, no matter how many times they see such photos.

A Houston-based podcast co-host named Bradeaux recently uploaded a months-old photo of Rudy Gobert and Victor Wembanyama posing for a photo at the Metropolitans 92 game. It is worth noting that the former Utah Jazz player has a staggering height of 7’2″, making him an inch taller than the mighty Shaquille O’Neal. However, Wembanyama still managed to dwarf the 3x NBA All-Star in the picture.

The photo was taken at the Metropolitans 92 vs G League Ignite exhibition game held in Las Vegas in October 2022. Many sites have Wembanyama listed as 7′ 2, however, as per the measurements provided by ESPN, the 19-year-old center stands tall at 7’4″ without shoes and 7’5″ with shoes.

Shaq’s opinion on Wembanyama

Victor Wembanyama’s immense talent has been recognized by several NBA superstars who had nothing but praise for him.
