Trying to save that outlet pass cost Donovan and the Jazz massively as the star yelled in pain, taking the support of fellow starter Royce O’Neale to stay on his feet. By the time he left the court, the star already had 22 points to his name in just 21 minutes of play.
After the point-leader for the Jazz reached the locker room, the organization released a statement about the injury. They tagged it as a right ankle sprain and detailed that the X-Rays were negative.

Until now, Donovan Mitchell has played all but three games for the Jazz. The 24-YO is averaging 26.5 points, 4.4 rebs, 5.3 assists, and 1 steal per game.
In his absence, the onus will be on the every-night double-double center Rudy Gobert and the prolific shooter in starter Mike Conley. In Spida’s absence (just in case), Jordan Clarkson might finally get an opportunity to start and share some load.
