Kevin Durant had a terrible playoff series against the Boston Celtics. He was stopped by Jayson Tatum and co. He and Kyrie Irving received the lion’s share of the blame for the Nets’ elimination. It was absolutely shocking because the Brooklyn Nets were the pre-season favorites to go to the Finals from the Eastern Conference. But things didn’t go as planned.
Coming back to Durant, his presence was absolutely of no consequence. The Boston Celtics swept the Nets 4-0. He has received a lot of criticism since then, for not being able to elevate his team when he is the leader.

His defensive responses did not help him, especially against Charles Barkley. Durant, who is a 2 time NBA champion, is enjoying his life but on the on-field side of things, it has not been smooth sailing.

Recently, he reacted to a video posted by Bleacher Report called, “Draymond Green vs Prime Dennis Rodman 1 vs 1.” Kevin Durant tweeted out “It’ll take 6 days to finish this game.” It may look like he is roasting the two players, but he is also praising them for their defensive abilities.

Fans have reacted to it by mocking Durant again. He was reminded of his elimination and his “bus driver” comments. His Twitter presence attracts a lot of detractors. These are some of the choicest tweets from the Twitter “Hivemind”:

Kevin Durant has not been a fan favorite since his move from OKC Thunder to the Golden State Warriors in 2016. He was the two-time Finals MVP during that period from 2016 to 2019 and scored an average of 35.2 and 28.8 points during those finals series. Durant, indeed, did play a vital role for the Warriors in the 2017 and 2018 championship win.
The roast on Draymond is surprising and unsurprising. It was surprising because Draymond played a big role in the latter coming here that year. Unsurprising because of what happened in 2018. Green was admonishing Durant after the game against the Los Angeles Clippers. It led to the latter blocking Draymond’s number.
