While Kiyan Anthony has narrowed down his college choices to 3, La La Anthony found her own three college picks. The announcement from the Power actress came through an Instagram story recently and just days after her and Carmelo Anthony‘s 17-year-old son’s announcement. But what’s La La doing visiting universities, you ask?

The visit to three universities — University of Maryland (Oct 3), Morgan State (Oct 7), and Kean University (Oct 10) — comes as a part of Pretty Little Thing’s US East Coast Pop Tour. Even La La’s IG story reflected the same details on the pamphlet uploaded by her. For those who are not aware, Pretty Little Thing (PLT) is a brand that offers women’s clothing, accessories, and more.

And the Pop Tour is an attempt by the brand to expose multiple colleges in the US to a PLT Store experience. “We’re talking shopping the latest PrettyLittleThing looks that are guaranteed to keep you best dressed on campus as well as meet and greets with some of our US Student Ambassadors,” read the details of the tour. As for La La, she is covering the universities as the brand ambassador of PLT. She had even designed a 20-look collection with the brand last summer.

The star actress was long a fan of the brand before partnering herself. Add her friendship and previous works with founder Umar Kamai on charities, it was bound to be just the perfect collaboration for La La. Mesh co-ords, ruched dresses, body-sculpting sets, and numerous designs more, speaking La La’s personal style could be found in the collection. “It was seamless,” she had said.

Though a year since, Anthony remains loyal and excited. The tour will have free giveaways, surprise VIP guests, discounts, games, and just more fun.

So it’s clear that La La’s destination universities are in no way related to the three universities — Auburn, Syracuse, and USC — that Kiyan has narrowed down to.

Carmelo Anthony’s son’s opinion on the three colleges he has picked

Kiyan had opened up about his top college choices during earlier interviews with On3. Thus, giving us a glimpse into his thought process. “I’m looking for good coaching, and I want to play for a good team… I want to win,” he said. But each of the three would offer him a unique factor.

When talking about Syracuse, he gave a clear sense of the direction the program is heading. The team, according to him, is young and still evolving. He’s learned a lot about the coaching staff, especially their plans to shift from Coach Adrian Autry’s signature zone defense to a more man-to-man style.

Kiyan seems impressed with their vision, especially as they work on their recruiting efforts for the 2024 and 2025 classes. Yes, the coaches from Syracuse had visited Kiyan during his EYBL run. As for Auburn, the 17-year-old had started building connections over there even before he received an official offer. “Coach (Ira) Bowman reaches out to me every other day. He checks on me and a few of my close friends are over,” he said.

And last, USC also has its own place for Kiyan. In fact, he even posed and posted in the USC Trojans jersey along with his father Carmelo Anthony after their official visit to the university. “Fight on ??✌🏾✌🏾#officialvisit,” he captioned the post. USC Coach Eric Musselman’s constant support towards Kiyan is also a factor to consider. Especially, considering the family-oriented aspect Kiyan had mentioned in his desire for a college. Now it’s only a matter of time before we witness the final name where the 17-year-old will take his talents.
