Since the beginning of the 2023-24 season, NBA Twitter has been a wild space. Whether it be Brazilian team accounts or wild hot takes, fans have been privy to some hilarious moments. However, this week brought the conversation to a new high. Due to a truly scandalous post by the Atlanta Hawks‘ official page, the entire NBA had to indulge in the conversation. While the team’s players shied away from any association, Kevin Garnett had to chime into the matter as well.

Seeing the post, even KG had to remark on the ridiculousness of the entire situation.

Over the 2 weeks of the season, the situation on X has gotten progressively worse. But no one was ready for the Atlanta Hawks to post an Only Fans promotion on their official page. In a rather ridiculous post, keeping in light the recent Joe Smith scandal, the Hawks took to X with a disturbing/hilarious video.

With movement in the sheets, the caption prompt read, “Only Hawks Fans know where the real action is. Only Hawks Fans know what they really wanna see. And Only Hawks Fans know where they can get it.” In an advertisement for the NBA’s brand-new in-season tournament, this was truly a shocking sight to witness.

While further comments of “hot 5-on-5 action” and the team’s mascot caressing himself add to the insanity, the clip has gone instantly viral. Further, the team’s superstars – Trae Young and Dejounte Murray, want no part of the clip.

But, KG had his say on the matter. Posting the clip to his IG stories, the Boston Celtics legend wrote, “Mannn…What it up with the Hawks? Hell y’all on…def some Atl ishhh”

Even the team’s stars had no idea how to respond to their team’s X exploits.

Trae Young and Dejounte Murray left in shock over team’s post

Looking at the post, X had a meltdown. While fans questioned the purpose of such a divisive post, most took the humor in stride, adding their brands of jokes to it. The franchise’s cornerstone – Trae also came into the conversation.

He made his role in the entire ordeal clear, claiming innocence. “I had no part with this” followed by a facepalm emoji was all the 2-time All-Star could muster up. Similarly, last offseason’s blockbuster acquisition, Murray, also had to take a moment with the post.

However, he wasn’t as subtle as Young, instead exclaiming for the page to “MANNNNNNN DELETE THIS SH*T!!!!!!!”
