The couple met in 1978 at Michigan State University and have been together ever since. After dating for over a decade, the two tied the knot in the year 1991. The couple have been married for 30 years and share two children. As the 12-time NBA All-Star player celebrates his 64th birthday, his wife Cookie took to her Instagram to share a heartwarming birthday message, a reminder of their love and persistence.

Last month, the 5-time NBA champion proudly shared that he is part owner of the $5.6 billion worth of Washington Commanders. Johnson’s birthday cake featured the logos of both Washington Commanders and L.A Lakers.
Johnson added another feather to his cap with his new ownership. His impressive business portfolio flaunts MLS’s Los Angeles Football Club, MBA’s Los Angeles Dodgers, and WNBA’s Los Angeles Sparks. The new ownership of the Lakers’ legend also promises a new beginning for the team. Together, how the team will do wonders remains to be seen.
