The Jerry Krause disrespect is not being tolerated by NBA veterans. Till now, several legends have come out in support of the late ex-general manager of the Chicago Bulls. Recently, Isiah Thomas called out all the Bulls fans who are responsible for the disgraceful act on the Ring of Honor night.

Thomas said, “I thought it was one of the most horrific things that I’ve ever seen at a ceremony.” The 62-year-old said that he had a solid relationship with Krause and he continues to cherish that bond with his family now.

The NBA veteran said that he was hurt by what he saw and called Krause’s wife. He said, “I called Mrs Krause. I got her number and I called her up. I said I want you to know that the rest of the NBA doesn’t feel the same way that… those fans who booed in the arena about your husband.” Thomas said that fans don’t have the slightest idea of what Krause has done for the franchise and the city of Chicago which is why they were comfortable booing over his name.

Several NBA veterans, fans, and even pundits have chimed in on this topic over the last few days. Unsurprisingly, everyone agrees that the Bulls fans were wrong in their decision. During the Ring of Honor ceremony, when Krause’s name was announced, his wife was in attendance to collect the honor for him. The imagery of her crying in her dead husband’s memory while the fans took on the disgraceful act has shaken everyone in the NBA community.

Charles Barkley also verbally thrashed the Bulls fans for their actions. He said, “What happened in Chicago the other night was a disgrace. It was a flat-out disgrace. Having his wife cry like that, that was wrong on so many levels. What those fans did to Mrs. Krause, that was not cool, and everybody involved owes that lady an apology, whether you like Jerry Krause or not, that man’s dead, RIP. His wife is there and y’all made that lady cry and that was total BS.”

Even if one believes the narrative that Krause broke up the legendary team in the 90s, booing him when he is no longer with us, and his wife is the one in attendance can never make sense to anyone who has a sense of empathy.
