“It’s almost like a death,” Khloe Kardashian said about the trauma she had endured during her marriage to basketball legend Lamar Odom. Tension was clearly high as Khloe was about to meet the person to whom she was married for seven years. Nearly nine years later, the reunion was about to happen. However, the moment was soon disrupted by Odom repeating his old mistake.

The Kardashians is finally here, along with the much-anticipated reunion of Khloe and Lamar arranged at their mutual friend Malika Haqq’s house. As Khloe alluded, both her sister Kim Kardashian and mother Kris Jenner were kept in the dark. It was seemingly awkward on the day of the meeting, when Khloe and her friend had to wait for 30 minutes for Odom. Both were clearly upset and expressed their frustration, noting how it was expected.

“So, he was supposed to be here at 3:00 and isn’t on time?” Khloe said. In response, Haqq reminded her, “We didn’t actually think he was going to be on time, did we?” “No, but who has the energy for this?” Khloe added. “26 minutes late is like rude!” Haqq responded as Khloe nodded.

During the wait, Khloe discussed what had led her to file for divorce back in 2016. The former Lakers player was just recovering from the accident that happened in Vegas, and the one who took care of him at that sensitive time was his ex-wife, Khloe. “I had to break contact with him because Lamar was repeating some of the same behaviors that I just couldn’t stand for,” Khloe said.

Odom finally appeared on the show, bringing roses, cake, and champagne for Khloe. As she mentioned, the 2x NBA champ was clearly nervous and “sweating.” The sentiments, however, were rather different on Khloe’s end.

Is this the end of chapter for Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom?

When Haqq suggested a reunion, both Khloe and Odom agreed. For a retired NBA player, he had one wish which is to be friends with Khloe once again. Speaking on The Kyle & Jackie O Show, he said, “I think it’s healthy sometimes to like, you know, move on. You know, in a healthy way. Like I said, it’d be a blessing just to be a friend, just to be around her (Khloe).”

As for the socialite, she wanted to return Odom’s belongings that she had held on to for years.  “I want him to have his stuff…and that’s it. I wish I could just do that and not have a conversation,” Khloe noted.

Speaking of reuniting with Odom, Khloe was clear that she had no bad blood. To be precise, she didn’t feel “emotions.“I have dealt with so much trauma in this relationship for years and this was such the love of my life that to learn how to unlove someone — to have to go through all that — it’s almost like a death,” Khloe added. The former Los Angeles Lakers player’s old habits might have been interrupted, but this emotional reunion didn’t seem to be ruined!
