He continued, “And obsession comes in the small details that nobody pays attention to. And I have a saying all right: ‘Interested people watch obsessed people change the world.’”

Grover has also trained some of the big names in the basketball world. As mentioned before, he also trained Jordan, who was his first client. In his book, Winning: The Unforgiving Race to Greatness, Grover has shared intriguing details about what it was like working with the two legends of the NBA. He also shared how he doesn’t like to compare the two players. But there’s still a significant revelation that he made about the two stars.

Tim Grover discloses what varied between Michael Jordan & Kobe Bryant

Tim Grover previously worked exclusively for ‘His Airness’. It was years later that he joined the 5-time NBA champion. It was back around in the year 2007 when Jordan introduced Grover to Bryant who was grappling with his physical issues. Even if Jordan warned him about Grover’s tough working style, Bryant was willing to work with him. And that did end up doing him good.

In his book, Grover mentioned how both players were quite different in their workout styles. Sharing a small detail about them, he said, “I don’t like to compare, because, to me, they were so different and unique that it’s an injustice to both. Kobe worked harder. MJ worked smarter.”

It was indeed the ‘obsession’ that drove Bryant to 5 NBA titles. What are your thoughts? Let us know in the comments below.
