Rising Stars Game: Victor Wembanyama’s Team Led by Lakers Legend Leaves Fans Shook – “How Did They Let Pau (Gasol) Get Away With This”

The 2023-24 season has a bunch of talented rookies from a variety of teams. However, it looks like the new NBA Rising Star game might be one-sided after fans have called out former Los Angeles Lakers star Pau Gasol, for his stacked team! The three other teams headed by Jalen Rose, Tamika Catchings, and Detlef Schrempf, are filled with talented youngsters too, but fans on social media believe Gasol has an easy win.
Team Pau’s Rising Stars would be Victor Wembanyama, Brandon Miller, Jabari Smith Jr, Jaime Jaquez Jr., Brandin Podziemski, Bilal Coulibaly, and Cason Wallace.
While Victor Wembanyama’s excellence is seen in mostly all games he has played this season, Brandon Miller is no less of a talent, who has put up incredible numbers in the last few games. Podziemski and Jaquez Jr. are already playing a defined role for their team, with an average of nearly 30 minutes. Well, in addition to all of the above, we have Jabari Smith Jr., a sophomore who has been crucial for the Rockets.

While Gasol has a powerful team on one hand, Detlef Schrempf might have gotten robbed this time. His team consists of only G-League players and not a single rookie or sophomore from the NBA. This is also something the fans found to be unfair.
Fans believe Pau Gasol’s team led by Victor Wembanyama is all set to win the Rising Star championship!

This is not Gasol’s first time in the Rising Star’s game. He was a coach last year too, where he led the team to a Rising Star championship. Jose Alvarado from the New Orleans Pelicans hit the game-winner to win the MVP for ‘Team Pau’ in 2023.

Fans believe ‘Team Pau’, has half of the best rookies in the league right now. As mentioned above, Victor Wembanyama, Miller, Jaquez Jr. and Podziemski are all making an impact for their team respectively.

On the other hand, there are high hopes for ‘Team Jalen’ who can be a great competition for ‘Team Pau’, which has some of the best young big men in the NBA, like Derick Lively II, Walker Kessler, and Chet Holmgren.
