If you followed the NBA in the early ’00s, you’d probably recognize Bagarić. Born in Germany, the Croatian native played professional basketball in Europe since 1996. His success in Europe caught the attention of the Chicago Bulls in the NBA, who were trying to rebuild a dynasty following Jordan’s retirement.

The Bulls drafted Bagarić in 2000. Unfortunately, he couldn’t recreate his pre-NBA success. Over three seasons in the USA, Bagarić only averaged two points and two rebounds.
He returned to Europe after the Bulls bought out his contract in 2003. He continued to play professionally in Europe till 2015. The two-time Croatian League champion became the Italian League and the German League champion later. He also won the FIBA EuroCup championship in 2007.
From Magic’s update, it appears that Bagarić has also switched to business since retiring from playing. He’s now a store owner in Montenegro. Magic and Cookie ran into him while shopping there and shared the pictures. Apart from the blast from the past, fans also found it funny that the 7’1′ Croatian pro dwarfed Magic and Cookie.

Magic Johnson is like us on a vacation, unable to resist photo-dumping snaps from the trip. Except the new NFL team owner does it in style. In a previous post, Johnson and Cookie were on their yacht hanging with the likes of Michael Jordan and Samuel L. Jackson.
Johnson was even rocking Jordan Brand gear on his vacation. Now that’s friendship. But their combined vacation was short-lived. Double MJ haven’t been spotted together after those posts. And it doesn’t look like Jordan met fellow Bulls player, Bagarić, either.
