Myles O’Neal once said the perk of being Shaq’s scion is getting into all the fun places. His sister started 2024 exactly that way. As Shaquille O’Neal was behind the console for the first day of the year, Taahirah O’Neal got exclusive VIP access to his show. She shared glimpses from backstage and on the stage too, including the set that she inspired.

“He said I inspired this one,” she wrote on her Instagram Stories to Shaq, working those turntables. Shaq even dialed up his wild head-banging and stomping for Taahirah’s camera. She was flattered if the happy emojis with the glasses clinking were anything to go by.

Shaquille O’Neal revealed on The Big Podcast that his New Year schedule is crazy packed. He had a set at midnight and the next from 1 am to 3 am. He told his co-host, Adam Lefkoe, that he was going to kick back and relax between performances with his crew. This crew also included honorary DJ Diesel hype girl, Taahirah.

Taahirah has been spending the holidays since Thanksgiving with Shaq. After hanging out with him and her siblings in the Bahamas, she was in Miami and was now in Atlanta. She even spent ‘Take Your Daughter to Work Day’ at TNT, where she saw O’Neal slacking off like a champ.

No slacking off when it comes to EDM. Taahirah shared her dad getting into “Showtime” mode. She also made sure to film a good angle of her honorary uncles, aka Shaq’s regular entourage, head-banging behind the 7’1″ giant.

At one point, Taahirah was on stage too, a little behind Shaq. She was singing along to the song he played, though it was not the part she inspired. She also showed DJ Diesel in his element, “having the time of his life.”

Shaq’s got a one-woman hype team in Taahirah in the wings. She jokes about bothering him and they pull little pranks on each other, but she’s been flaunting the best sides of her rockstar dad every chance she gets. It started with the dad-daughter shopping trip turning into Shaq paying for an entire Forever 21 store’s crowd’s purchases.

Her younger brother, Shareef, also shared Shaq’s generous gift with the kids of a Trailblazer’s staff. Taahirah also revealed the moment their dad gifted a wad of cash to a young girl as a Christmas present.
