Former Washington Wizards point guard Gilbert Arenas is rarely afraid to speak his mind. He recently did an interview with Vlad TV where he made some interesting comments on Wade and Union. The interviewer talked about Gabrielle Union, wife of the Miami Heat legend. During an interview she gave recently, the 50-year-old actress talked about how she and her husband split their bills ’50-50′. When asked to comment on the same, Arenas voiced his support for the decision.

“What ends up happening is, one life is a lot bigger and let’s just say if Dwyane Wade is Superman, Gabrielle Union don’t wanna be Lois Lane. Because Lois Lane, like every other regular person, eventually gets cut off. Because you’re not an asset, you’re a liability.”

According to Arenas, she is earning more than her husband. So it makes sense to throw the bills in the air and split it down the middle.

Instead of calling her Lois Lane, Arenas chose to compare the actress to ‘Superwoman’. He complimented Union for doing her part. He also stated that the Supermen of the world get tired of saving the ‘Lois Lanes’. According to Arenas, since the father will already have various ‘Lois Lanes’ to support (children, friends, etc.), it’s good to have a Superwoman to support him.

While the duo of Wade and Arenas have never served on the same team, they have met each other on opposite sides of the court. The two have held a mutual level of respect for each other for as long as they played. At one point, Arenas even called Wade a more skilled shooting guard than Michael Jordan!

While Wade has garnered acclaim on the basketball court, Union boasts an acting career of over 30 years, having gained prominence in the 2000 teen film ‘Bring It On’.
