Till When Does Dwyane Wade’s Undying Loyalty to Versace Date Back? Exploring Luxurious Bond Before HoF Night Outfit

On Sunday, the Miami Heat celebrated Dwyane Wade and his illustrious career with the ‘Wade Hall of Fame night’. The Heat had a blowout win against the Charlotte Hornets. They made the night even more special for Wade by announcing the addition of his statue at the arena. As the face of the franchise was shining bright in Magic City, the 3x NBA champion chose to do it dripped in Versace.

The Miami Heat shared a video on Instagram of Dwyane Wade showing off his entire fit for his special night, saying, “You already know @dwyanewade was gonna pull up looking his best, so we asked him to take us through the Hall of Fame night outfit 🔥.

Dwyane Wade partnered with Versace in April 2023 to be the brand ambassador for its luxury sunglasses line. Wade, who retired in 2019, has been dipping his feet into all sorts of avenues to reignite his spirit, and he found his footing in fashion with Versace. Having achieved everything he could on the basketball court, this seems like the next avenue for Wade to showcase his skills.

Wade said at the time, “I have always admired Versace’s bold and innovative approach to fashion, and I am honored to partner with them as the face of their sunglasses line.” Dwyane Wade’s family is also heavily invested in the fashion industry.

After his partnership, Dwyane Wade began his campaign with the brand, as he was photographed with the eyewear. The initial launch had three aviators, with two sporting the iconic Medusa symbol and one with a much sleeker design. In the statement made by the brand, Dwyane Wade received huge praise as they said, “Charisma and excellence, Dwyane Wade is a natural champion of each and is perfectly in line with the Versace look and attitude.”

Even Donatella Versace, the creative director of the brand, expressed how excited she is to be working with the Miami Heat legend. Signing Wade to the brand was yet another step in athletes getting more involved in fashion and expressing themselves with what they wear. The partnership has given Wade another outlet to explore his reach beyond the scope of basketball.

Both Wade and Union attended the 2024 Milan Fashion Week. They both came dressed in Versace, and even the brand shared their images on social media. They also decided to take a trip to Versace’s office in Italy. This turned out well for the fans, as the two shared behind-the-scenes footage from the office. Both Union and Wade acted as ‘unpaid interns’. Making hilarious videos for their audience, it is safe to say that the fans had a good laugh watching it.

Both Union and Wade wore matching Versace outfits for the 2022 Met Gala. This then helped him get into a partnership with the brand in the near future. Dwyane Wade is not the only person with an NBA connection working with Versace. Kobe Bryant’s daughter, Natalia Bryant, also made her debut during Milan Fashion Week.
