The Chicago Bulls built a dynasty with Michael Jordan in the 1990s. During the second three-peat, the Bulls had an exceptional shooter and passer who played forward for the team. The basketball player was Croatian Toni Kukoč. Even though he was drafted by the Bulls in 1990, he continued playing in Europe for three more years. By this time, the Bulls had had their first three-peat, and Michael Jordan had retired from the NBA to pursue baseball.
Kukoc joined the Bulls in 1993 and was a crucial part of their championship runs in 1996, 1997, and 1998.

Toni Kukoč in a recent interview with Brandon “Scoop B” Robinson, shared why Allen Iverson is one of the best players he has ever played with. He talked about the current style of basketball in the league and how different Iverson was back in the day.
He went on to say that the players in the league are currently heavily reliant on shooting the ball, so most of them don’t go to the basket. But Iverson, considering his smaller stature, should have been shooting the ball more. But rather, he drove to the basket every chance he got.

He continued by saying that back in those times, the players would foul you so hard in the paint that you would question yourself if it was worth driving to the lane. But Iverson never cared about it and went in and dunked or got a layup on every possession.

How did Toni Kukoč go from Michael Jordan to Iverson?
Toni Kukoč was a major contributor for the Bulls during their championship days. Following their second three-peat, Jordan retired for a second time. Scottie Pippen was traded to the Houston Rockets. Phil Jackson’s contract also came to an end, and thus it summarized the end of the Bulls dynasty. Kukoc famously called Pippen, the greatest teammate he ever had.

Toni Kukoč was the best player remaining on the team. In the following lockout season, he averaged 18 PTS, 5.2 AST, and 5.4 REB, leading the Bulls in the three categories. The following year, he was traded to the Philadelphia 76ers. This is when he played with Allen’s version and got to witness his magic on the court. He played 48 games for them before eventually getting traded in a blockbuster deal that sent Dikembe Mutombo to the Sixers.
