The NBA bubble has all the players, coaches, and staff locked into one campus. Many players keep bumping into each other due to this closed environment. Recently, Los Angeles Lakers coach Frank Vogel revealed he had a couple of awkward encounters after bumping into Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo.
“I didn’t talk to him, I just walked past him,” Vogel said. “I had just told the world that Lebron James is the MVP, so that was weird. The NBA can be awkward.”

Lakers star LeBron has been the main rival for Giannis’ MVP campaign this season. Both of them have had brilliant seasons, leading their team to a number one seeding in their respective conferences. With all of the other awards announced, we will soon have the MVP winner declared.
A back to back MVP season for Giannis or 35-year old LeBron winning it, either way, it is an amazing achievement.
Lakers coach Vogel’s second awkward bubble encounter
Heat star Jimmy Butler has had a fabulous campaign so far in the bubble. The Heat are now leading the series 3-1 against the Bucks, and are one win away from entering the Conference Finals. But his success is not just on-court. He has been running a successful coffee business in the bubble and he has a whole menu for it too.
So apparently Jimmy Butler wasn’t kidding about the up-charge for the use of his French Press at Disney. (From Meyers Leonard’s Twitter): pic.twitter.com/1s1em6flRG

Vogel reveals he ran into Butler, who offered him some of this coffee. “Jimmy asked me if I wanted to buy a cup of coffee from him the other day,” Vogel said. “I told him I would, but I didn’t follow through yet.”
After leveling the series last night, Vogel will be relieved. The Lakers unexpectedly lost to the Rockets in Game 1 but they saved themselves with a quick response. They now need to build on this momentum and close out the series.

The favorites tag often bogs down a lot of teams, and the Bucks are the biggest example. The Lakers need to be mentally strong and go one game at a time as they aim to end the decade-long title drought for the franchise.
