The Golden State Warriors beat the Denver Nuggets last night. It was a historic night for Stephen Curry, who became the Warriors’ all-time leading scorer by surpassing Hall of Famer Wilt Chamberlain.
After the game, former NBA champion and analyst Channing Frye praised Curry for being one of the greatest players that the league has witnessed. While praising him, Frye was also thankful to have played against Curry in his career.
He said, “He became a point guard that can move without the ball, is top in handles, greatest shooter of all-time. And he can also play with other Hall of Famers. The most dangerous part of Steph’s game is when he doesn’t have the ball.

“He’s a leader, he wins. He’s one of the greatest skilled players of all time. What he does is amazing and his consistency about doing it has been next level. I’m glad I got an opportunity to play against him.”

Since he entered the league, Curry has revolutionized the game. The game now surrounds around three-point shooting, which Curry, along with Klay Thompson, made popular. There were other sharpshooters before him, but none of them made an impact like Curry. And along with that, he has had a very accomplished career so far. Team accolades and individual accolades- there is nothing that he hasn’t achieved.
Stephen Curry: Enduring criticism despite having a spectacular season individually
Right from the start of the season, it has been a tough journey for the Warriors. It started with Klay getting injured again, and then their dismal performances throughout the season. Despite this, Curry’s MVP form has kept them alive. That’s why Anthony believes that Curry reaching this feat in such a year is fitting, because his legacy was surprisingly and unnecessarily questioned a lot.

Despite his three rings, two MVPs, and a multitude of other achievements, Curry’s legacy is in over one season where the team is struggling. He is doing his best but has not been supported properly by his team. So it is ridiculous that a player like him faces such criticism.
The Warriors are currently in the 10th spot. They are on their way to the play-in tournament if they hold on to their position. But if they stop fighting for a playoff spot, they should rest Curry, who has given it all so far despite lack of support.
