The Golden State Warriors arrived at Madison Square Garden tonight to face the New York Knicks. While a win is the priority for the team, fans in the building had just one thing in mind. Witnessing Stephen Curry create history.
Entering tonight’s game, Chef Curry needed one three-pointer to tie Ray Allen’s all-time threes made record, and two to surpass him. Since the last two games, Steph has tried hard to achieve the record, but he struggled. He finished with 3-14 from three against the 76ers, and 5-15 from three against the Pacers.
But tonight, there was no stopping him. As he sank his second three of the game in the first quarter itself, every fan in the arena was on their feet to appreciate the greatness they were witnessing. Stephen Curry finally overtook Ray Allen as he scored the 2,974th three-pointer of his career.

Warriors’ Kevon Looney immediately fouled so play could take a break and everyone could appreciate Curry. The Baby-Faced Assassin was treated with hugs from teammates, but the most beautiful moment was him running to Allen to embrace him on the sidelines.
In his last two games, it seemed like the burden of breaking the record was too heavy for Curry and it was affecting his general play. But with that behind him now, he can finally refocus.
