The Los Angeles Lakers are going to receive a huge boost in their upcoming game. After being out of action since February, superstar Anthony Davis is going to make his return from injury.
He last played against the Nuggets on February 14. During the game, Davis was going up against Nikola Jokic and while trying to make a drive, he injured his Achilles. His return was delayed for weeks, because the Lakers wanted to give him as much rest as he wanted. But now Davis himself said he feels ready to make a comeback.
Nobody on the team was more excited for Davis’ return than Kyle Kuzma. He tweeted in excitement as soon as he read the message.

Despite knowing that Davis‘ arrival could potentially lead to lesser minutes for him, Kuzma is happy to have him back. He knows what AD brings to the team and his presence is something they desperately need right now on the court. AD is also coming in at the right time as they face a dangerous Mavericks side led by Luka Doncic.
Lakers star Anthony Davis reveals he never tore his Achilles
When Davis walked off the court during the game against the Nuggets, Lakers fans feared he tore his Achilles. He has a history with Achilles’ injuries, which is why many thought it was a tear. But unfortunately, it wasn’t.
“I never tore an Achilles, but I kind of felt like sharp pain, like it was ripping, which I had never felt before,” Davis said. “So I knew it was something serious. It wasn’t as serious as it could have been, but it was still a pretty significant injury.”

There were reports that Davis was likely to stay on the sidelines until the playoffs. But with 14 games left, the Lakers are now fifth. So Davis will be aiming to help his team ascend into the top half as they enter the postseason. There is no doubt that with LeBron and AD, the Lakers don’t need home court advantage. But if it is attainable, it is always a boost.
Fans will be eager to see Davis return to action now, and they will be praying he can stay healthy and avoid any further injuries.
