Former NBA guard Reasons Out Why Michael Jordan is the GOAT Over LeBron James

After constant bickering, the debate about who’s the GOAT remains unanswered. And it seems like it’s an argument that will continue for many more years to come. However, if you ask a former NBA guard who had the opportunity to play against Michael Jordan, he will give you the same answer every time.
No matter what statistics you pick up, Michael Jordan is the greatest player and scorer the NBA has ever witnessed. He holds the highest career average in NBA’s history, which is 30.1 points per game. In his early years, he had to battle against the all-time greatest teams like the Boston Celtics, led by Larry Bird, along with the Bad boy Detroit Pistons.
Once Jordan got his hands on his first NBA title, he never looked back. He earned the Chicago Bulls six championships and won the Finals MVP award all six times. While all these add to his resume and support his GOAT argument, Jalen Rose has better reasons to call Jordan the greatest player of all time over LeBron James.

On ‘Explain This’, Jalen Rose was asked to go over his criteria for choosing Michael Jordan over LeBron James. “I believe Michael Jordan is the GOAT over LeBron James,” Rose said. “Here are five categories I want everybody to always pay attention to: MVP, Finals MVP, scoring title, Defensive Player of the Year, and not only did your team win the championship, you won Finals MVP.”
Therefore, if this criterion is taken into consideration, Jalen thinks LeBron has some more work to do. Talking about LeBron, he said, “He’ll tell you that. That’s why he wears number 23. That’s why he throws powder in the air before basketball games. Because he emulates, like all of us should or did, the great Michael Jeffrey Jordan, who played basketball with his tongue hanging out.”

Each player has a certain skill they excel in. But, if you talk about the full package, Michael Jordan is clearly the winner. Although LeBron is in his 17th season in the NBA, he still looks like he is in his prime. Is there still scope for him to surpass Jordan in all the above criterias that Jalen listed?
