The episode features Rob Dauster, Terrence Oglesby and John Fanta having a detailed evaluation of Duke’s poor performance this season. National college basketball broadcaster and writer for FOX Sports, John Fanta minced no words while sharing his inputs on the Blue Devil’s poor run of form. He said, “This past week has been miserable for them. The things that we thought were problematic. I’m not saying that you think differently for them now. But the fact is this team struggles from the perimeter and they did not shoot the basketball well.”

John Scheyer’s squad ended up losing two close games against Arkansas and Georgia Tech. Moreover, they had a very poor accuracy while shooting and had a dismal conversion rate. He further added, “The fact is that this team struggles from the perimeter. They did not shoot the basketball well in either game. The rim protection is an issue, they really struggled against Georgia Tech to defend the lane. That is concerning for Duke, this is a team that entered as pre-season No.2. We need to be critical of John Scheyer right now.
Due to the three losses in the first month of their campaign, Duke is on the brink of having an unwanted record next to their name.

The Blue Devils were ranked No.2 in the top 25 of AP’s pre-season polls. However, after their first loss to Arizona, they dropped to No.7. Furthermore, after back-to-back losses they fell 15 spots and are currently ranked No.22 on Monday afternoon. Also, Duke is now one loss away from becoming the first squad in the program’s history of 41 years to lose 4 games before Christmas. As a result, many fans have started calling the team overrated.
The Blue Devils have hit a rough patch in their journey to become the NCAA champions for the seventh time this season. Nonetheless, many believe that this team has the potential to turn around their campaign effectively. As they host Charlotte in their next encounter on Sunday, fans will be hoping John Scheyer inspires his boys to get the season back on track.
