The University of Southern California (USC) Trojans point guard Bronny James has occupied the top spot in the latest NIL rankings of the college circuit. The NCAA had implemented the Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) rules policy that helped college athletes cash in on their brand image from June 2021 onwards. This ended the dilemma of whether college athletes should be paid and helped the sportspersons monetize their personal brand. Though different rules exist for athletes depending on the state and university, it allows college stars to have a life on par with NBA and WNBA players.

With a $5.9 million valuation, Bronny is way ahead of Colorado Buffaloes’ quarterback Shedeur Sanders who has a valuation of $4.8 million. The post regarding the same was shared by the official On3 page on social media networking site X on 18 October.

In addition to a deal with Nike, Bronny had signed NIL with Beat by Dre and PSD Underwear. To the delight of fans, both Bronny and LeBron could be seen in an advertisement of Beat by Dre where they used earbuds and competed against each other in a half-court basketball match as per Fox Sports.
