Trae Young is known for his flashy handles and more importantly, he has a sublime vision. His freshman year averages are incredible to look at as the point guard dished out nearly nine assists per game while averaging 27.4 points.
Moreover, Trae Young also recorded his name in the history books by providing 22-assists in a single game which tied him for the all-time NCAA record. With an incredible effort, Young became just the fourth player to have made 22 assists in a single game after Sherman Douglas (1989), Avery Johnson (1988), and Tony Fairley (1987).

He achieved the feat against Northwestern State in 2017 and astonishingly provided all his assists in just 29 minutes!
“It’s crazy. It’s awesome,” Young told ESPN after his performance. “But the biggest thing for me is that we are winning,” he added.
Young also soared with a 26-point performance to add to his assist heroics. The whole nation got to know about Young’s heroics, but he was just getting started.

Young has just entered his third year in the league, but he’s already announced himself as a talent for the future. The Texas native is incredibly quick, and his sharpshooting skills are getting better by the year.

Former NBA champion Kendrick Perkins addressed Young’s talents recently and compared him to Warriors’ Steph Curry. Of course, the two-time MVP has been quite extraordinary over the last few years, and Perkins credits Young as a similar kind of player.
“I’m going to tell you – Trae Young is a top 5 player in the NBA. He can’t be guarded You talk about Steph Curry, but this guy is Steph Curry 2.0 because of the way he is able to facilitate and make plays for others,” Perkins mentioned.

Trae Young has a mission to accomplish with the Atlanta Hawks, which is to take them to the playoffs. He has not managed to do it yet, but the 22-year-old is off to an electric start in his 2021 campaign, averaging 28.2 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 8.3 assists in six games.
