The NFL broke through a new era in the draft, spanning over two nights. The teams spearheaded a massive reshuffle, addressing their sickest roster needs with the top-tier collegiate stars. For Alabama QB Jalen Milroe, the Seattle Seahawks brimmed with untapped potential. They traded Geno Smith to the Raiders to take Milroe on board as the 92nd overall pick in the third round. Milroe’s sick athletic traits put him at the forefront of the best athletes in the class. The insane Speed and arm strength made him an absolute beast to covet for. So, what’s the bottom line for the Seahawks? Does their draft finding look like a strategic intertwining or a mindless gamble? A stimulating debate! But it earned Mike Macdonald and the team a brand-new fan, that’s a bet!

The draft scenes have mostly been a large smokescreen that pulled out some breathtaking surprises just in time. The Seahawks rightfully didn’t go beyond the trend. When it looked like the Seattle Seahawks weren’t at all looking to add to their quarterback class, they proved the call wrong and went against their tradition big time.

They set their sights on a taste, selecting one of the massive ‘what if’ quarterback prospects in this year’s class, Jalen Milroe from Alabama. Following a lackluster year, Milroe saw a massive dip in his stock right before it started to get back to its shape after the combine. However, as he’s now ready to lace up the shoes for the green and blue, his former school connection stepped up as a fangirl.

It’s none other than the beloved daughter of Nick Saban, the all-time greatest Bama coach, that’s who we’re talking about. The passionate Bama football fan and a bosom friend of the quarterback sends a message as Milroe sets foot in the pro with an elite franchise. They directly told the Seahawks’ fanbase that she’s about to join forces.

‘Newest Seahawks fan’: Nick Saban’s daughter tagged herself before heaping ‘congratulations’ on Milroe in her IG story. The video she shared showcased how the entire Bama locker room burst into joy and laughter as they saw the name Jalen Milroe on the screen. The QB belongs to Tuscaloosa, and the people owe him a tribute. What can be greater than a heartfelt celebration inside the locker room?

However, Kristen’s support for Milroe reached deeper than the horizon. It’s not just that she kicked the bucket as the athlete cracked a great feat in the pro. No. Not at all. Long before Milroe established himself as a stupendous draft contender, Kristen had his back, even if it meant an emotional rigmarole surrounding his father. Nick Saban’s Alabama walkout triggered an insane roster outflow at Alabama. Kalen DeBoer had a hard time handling the one-way direction of the portal right after the legendary head coach signed off.

But Milroe, 22, didn’t follow the crowd. The reason? No, not because he felt any less for Saban, but because he didn’t let his emotions win over logic and stability. After it sparked some debate, the QB decided to explain his side. “I didn’t want to make an emotional decision,” Milroe said. “Everything that I do, everything is thought out. And also, not leaning on my own understanding. Faith really came into the picture when it came to that situation. Also, family.” Kristen understood the message and liked the confession post from Milroe.

Is Jalen Milroe the next big thing for the Seahawks, or just another 'what if' story?

However, going beyond all the congratulations and celebrations, the former Alabama QB left a bitter taste in the mouth of the other suitors who passed on him.

Jalen Milroe throws shades at the teams who passed on him

After he was drafted by the Seahawks late in round three, journalists asked him to reflect on the teams that overlooked him. Milroe kept it short, simple yet stinging. A three word sass: “Belt to a–!” and he vented out the repressed frustration of being ignored. Of course, the Seahawks also slept on him multiple times before finally making a call. But Milroe’s dig was not for them. He is rather thrilled to step into the team as their newest offensive addition.

G.M. John Schneider said Milroe wasn’t their highest-rated quarterback but “damn close” to it. Despite knowing that Milroe has several areas to improve, the team treated him as their top guy. Since when the ex-Bama QB started to jell with the Seattle community, he felt the warmth. Milroe thinks they spent a good amount of time getting to know him one-to-one and expanding on his strengths. Now, it’s his time to pay back.

“I’m coming in to learn — learn, grow, and bring nothing but positive vibes to the offense and fulfill all that as a necessity with my role on the team,” Milroe said. “So, of course, once I get there, I’ll understand my niche, for sure. But ideally I’m competing — no matter what day it is, no matter how many reps I get — competing for the opportunities that present themselves at the quarterback position.” We will look forward to that hypothetical yet very feasible ‘Milroe era’ of Seahawks down the road.
